BALLOONS and a TABLE

Have you ever wondered what you could do with balloons and a table? This week Year 6 Mrs Eckermann’s Class asked
“What fraction of our class could stand on the upside down art table on a bed of balloons before the first one pops?”
They thought that when 12 got on the table the balloons would pop.
What happened?
To their amazement 16 people (which was 8/9th of the class) including their teacher, were easily able to stand on the table and no balloons popped! Isn’t science incredible!
