NATIONAL WALK SAFELY TO SCHOOL DAY – FRIDAY 20 MAY 2022
Now in its 23rd year, National Walk Safely to School Day (WSTSD) is an annual event when all Primary School children will be encouraged to walk and commute safely to school. It is a Community Event seeking to promote Road Safety, Health, Public Transport and the Environment.
This year Immanuel School students and families are encouraged to participate by walking to school starting from 3 different locations.

To Walk to School there is a $2 participation donation, and each student walker will receive a piece of fruit back at school and a “Walk Safely to School Day” sticker. Staff members will be allocated to meet students at each location and walk to school. Parents can walk to school too, however for those who cannot walk you can drop your child to the designated location and go.
We will also use this walking opportunity to do some fundraising for the Australian Lutheran World Service “Walk My Way”. Every $26 raised assists a refugee child for a year. We are just $259 shy of reaching $5,000 which supports 200 East African students.
