Special Events

Monday 31st October 2016

On Monday 31st October the year 3 classes will be hosting ‘THE BIG CAKE BAKE’.

This is an annual event held by the Red Cross to raise much needed funds for disadvantaged people in communities both here and internationally.  (For more information about the Red Cross you can visit their website as per below.)   At Assembly on Monday 24th October Year 3 Miss Clark will also share some more information about this worthy cause.

Cakes are to be baked and decorated at home and brought to school Monday morning 31st October, ready for judging.     Please ensure your cake/s is labelled with your child’s name and class teacher.
Please bring cakes direct to Room 1b (the room beside Miss Clark’s classroom).
The COST to enter is a gold coin donation.  Please pay on Monday morning when delivering your cake.

The competition will be divided into 6 categories:
Foundation to Year 2   Set of 6 cupcakes             or            1 large cake
Year 3 to Year 5   Set of 6 cupcakes             or            1 large cake
Year 6/7   Set of 6 cupcakes             or            1 large cake
A winner will be determined for each of the six categories and a prize will be awarded.

The cakes will be judged based on their decoration and will not be tasted.
Cakes will then go on to be sold at a “BIG CAKE BAKE SALE” Monday 31/10/16 after school               under the shelter.    Costs will range from $2 cup cakes size to $20 for the larger cakes.

As your cake/s is a donation to be sold at the “BIG CAKE BAKE SALE”, please attach a list of ingredients for allergy purposes and take a photo of your cake at home.

Proceeds from the entry fee and the bake sale will be donated to the Red Cross.
