Learning Conferences - Semester 2 2023

Learning Conferences are an opportunity for parents/caregivers, teachers and students to discuss your child’s learning during Semester 1 and set some goals for the second semester. 

Parents / caregivers of students in Years 2 - 6 are encouraged to have their child attend the Learning Conference too (this may be for part or all of the Conference).  Parents / caregivers of students in Foundation and Year 1 will have their Learning Conference with their child’s classroom teacher alone. 

ILP (Individual Learning Plan) meetings will be taking place on the same nights as Learning Conferences.  If your child has an ILP, please use the booking system for Learning Conferences found below.

Learning Conferences will be held over 4 nights in Weeks 4, 5 & 6 of Term 3. 

Conferences will be 15 minutes duration.    Times are as follows:

Week 4:        Wednesday 16 August    3.45pm - 6.00pm

Week 5:        Tuesday 22 August         3.45pm - 7.30pm

Week 5:        Thursday 24 August        3.45pm - 6.00pm

Week 6:        Tuesday 29 August         3.45pm - 7.30pm

Please note that Year 4 teachers and students will be on camp in week 4 so Weds 16 August is not available for year 4 Conferences, and Miss Pfeiffer will be on long service leave in week 6 so Tues 29 August will be unavailable for Miss Pfeiffer’s Foundation parents. 

Conferences will be face to face.

The booking system will close on Tuesday 15 August at 4pm, so teachers can prepare for the day ahead.  It will reopen again to allow bookings for the next 3 conference days but will be closed the day before again accordingly.  

Please let us know through the booking app if:

• Your child will or will not attend or will only attend part of the meeting (for Year 2 to 6 students)
• There are any areas you particularly wish to discuss (this will allow teachers to plan for your meeting with a focus on areas of greatest relevance to you).

For Year 6 families, there will be two separate booking schedules: Year 6 Semmler/Yon Set 1 & Year 6 Semmler/Yon Set 2.  Please click on both of these options for your preferred time and make one only booking from either set.

On Tuesday 22 August and Tuesday 29 August our specialist teachers - Mr Cochrane (Sport), Mrs Strickland (LOTE) and Mr Hueppauff (Music) will be cooking a sausage sizzle in the courtyard area outside Admin Building.  Parents and students can come and enjoy a sausage and have a chat with them about their progress in these subject areas.
